Whole House Filter Systems
Whole house filtration systems are a great choice to keep you and your family safe from chemicals and sediment whilst improving taste and odour. Some systems even include a UV filter which kills bacteria as it passes through. When these systems are used with a water softener, water quality will be superior to town water.

Reverse Osmosis
Reverse osmosis is the best kind of filtration system today. The process is slow, so it is usually used for a drinking water supply.
Water enters the system and immediately enters a particulate filter which removes particles like sand iron. From there, the water flows into a carbon filter which removes chemicals like chlorine. Then finally, the water enters the reverse osmosis membrane. The membrane is a special fabric that is rolled up extremely tight. The water flows through this in one direction and separates from all the other impurities. Then the pure water is sent off to the tank for use in drinking water, and the impurities are sent to the drain.
These systems remove heavy metals, salts, viruses, bacteria, fluoride, nitrate, chlorine and improve the taste and odour of your water.

Benefits of Water Filters
Understanding water filters and how they can be advantageous to your home is crucial. For example, a filtered water supply means safe and pleasant drinking water for your family. It also involves numerous other benefits, including:
The Cost-Effective Option
Filtering tap water is cost-effective and cheaper than buying bottled water. In fact, it can be as much as 250 times more expensive per litre to drink bottled water rather than tap water – so filtration still works out as the more affordable way to stay hydrated.
Water filters provide substantial environmental benefits over bottled water.
Not only are plastic bottles manufactured from petroleum, but they also create huge amounts of waste. Only a low proportion of single-use plastic bottles will ever be recycled, with the remainder to be disposed of in landfills or the ocean, where they will take hundreds of years to fully
decompose.
On the other hand, filtered water requires significantly less power and water, and it produces no plastic waste that will become a long-term hazard.
Better for the Environment
Protection against
Diseases
Filtered water comes with plenty of health benefits, as water impurities are removed through the filtration system.
This includes microbes that could cause disease, such as Giardia lamblia, E. coli and other bugs found in untreated water. A good filtration system will help to protect against gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, cramping, diarrhoea or vomiting.
Filtration also removes inorganic pollutants such as copper, lead, arsenic, mercury, cyanide and nitrates. While these chemicals shouldn’t be in your drinking water, it’s possible for trace amounts to be present. Over time, constant exposure to trace amounts can contribute to damage to the liver, kidneys, nerves, and bones, especially if your household includes children, the elderly or people who are already of weaker health.
Some tap water has been treated with disinfectants to make it safe for drinking. While chlorine and chlorine dioxide can be safe to drink, they may leave an unpleasant taste in the mouth. Filters remove this taste, so your drinking water is more pleasant.
Water that
Tastes Better
Built to Last for the Long Term
Filtered water is durable and has low maintenance needs – meaning you won’t need to waste money on regular repairs.
